Lonny Ray was born in the northern suburbs of Detroit Michigan. His singing began at the age of three in the churches. He played on his moms’ piano at an early age and received his first guitar at the age of fourteen when he wrote his first song. He entered many singing contests and prevailed as the winner of every one. His career began to blossom when he formed the local group, Painted Pony that consisted of world class guitarist, Les McComb. He later went on to form the regionally popular Copper Ridge Band which had an astounding lineup of musicians through its years of existence. In 2007, Lonny Ray went solo and his career skyrocketed. He has shared the stage with many legendary performers including, Mickey Gilley, Dudley Moore, Janie Frickie, Neal McCoy, Aaron Tippin, Jon Kay and Steppenwolf, Lonestar, Blackfoot, Foghat and many more. Lonny Ray has also shared the stage with some great songwriters including, Rand Bishop, Jack Ripley and legendary songwriter Jack Foster. He has been a fixture in Nashville and Los Angeles throughout his career. He has taken his career to a new level by penning his new album Memory Of Years, produced by rock giant, Robyn Robins of the Silver Bullet Band. He is planning his sophomore album in the summer of 2010 with Party in the Bayou in which he tested a few of his new songs in Nashville with great reviews. Party in the Bayou is sure to be a number one release and a summer anthem of sorts for this talented songwriter and performer.  The First release off this new CD will happen in January.  The song January Jeans will be available for free download at Lonny Ray's Facebook site.
